the "NIL services", then it's no longer NIL it's just a thinly veiled pay-for-play bribe.
For example, if Aggie Bob's Auto pays a top 5 OL recruit (or transfer) $500k to do some promo for his car dealerships throughout the Houston area — an amount that's clearly above the promotional value.
Or if rich A&M boosters purchase 10,000 jerseys of that recruit at $80 a pop, and 500 autographed jerseys at $300 a pop, etc.
