All but 20 schools are not competitive now anyway. Actually, probably less than that who have a chance at a National Championship.

Is NIL ideal? Nope. Is there a chance of putting the genie back in the bottle? Nope.

Players have been getting paid for going back to the 20's. Nothing new. Just in the open now. College sports will still attract fans and fanbases because of 1)students/alumni and 2) the fact there are 100 teams, not 30. There's a D1 program within driving distance of most Americans.
