But if you look at the other rope, you can tell that it was tied up and then undone. There is a clear kink in the rope.

As far as I can tell, the only person who didn't mess up here was Wallace. His people should have known better, nascar should have known better, the track employees should have known better, the "investigation" and announcement should have been handles much differently.
