he referred to someone suffering a catastrophic injury requiring a lifetime of care. I was using that premise as my response - a person without insurance requiring a lifetime of care will never be insurable because they will never provide enough premium to cover the cost of the care if preexisting conditions are exempted from coverage.
I agree with you that other conditions, such as the broken bone, do not have a risk of recurrence.
