Bama suffered a set-back year because Saban left and guys probably got away with a little more under KD than they did the previous regime. Don't practice as hard, don't pay as much attention to detail, lose more games.
GA was just at the end of a pinnacle run. They were in the mix, but they lost their starting QB at the wrong time. Still had an enormous amount of talent on the field.
TX was right in the mix. Game was even until the last what? 10 minutes? Turnover and a good play by the opposing team beat them. Better team doesn't always win and you'd be hard-pressed to say which is the better roster.
Ole Miss had the parts but screwed around in should-win games. They reflect their coach's cocky attitude and lack of discipline, IMO.
