He is in the NBA because of potential, not because of anything he has actually accomplished or demonstrated he can do. And he is quickly showing himself to not be an NBA caliber player.

Jontay is a pretty good player. He isn't in the same realm of college player as Bowers was, losing Bowers was a much bigger deal to MU. Regardless MU went 30-33 the next two years, Jontay would not have made them NCAA tourney caliber.
