Its patently obvious that MU is vastly in a worse state than pre-2014. By a huge margin. That isn't because Jontay Porter got injured. Bowers got injured in 2011-12 and 2012-13, that was considerably more impactful than Jontay's injury, and MU still won 30/23 games and made the tourney. Being in a state where an injury to a single unproven player destroys your program is by definition indicative of a weak program.
