The Big 8 started in 1959. Here's the regular season title count, since winning a weekend tournament is not at all comparable to a regular season title.

kU: 13
KSU: 10
MU: 8 <-- top Big 8 program, by the way. Definitely not 3rd.
OU: 5
CU: 3
OSU: 2
