Why did CM recruit better and win more at Cal/Tennessee?

Did he get worse as a coach and recruiter overnight? Does he have a weaker staff around him now? Is he limited by MU admin?

I see a lot of posts about Cuonzo having mediocrity as a peak, but a 21 win average over 6 years isn't mediocre. That's above average.

Is it that Cuonzo's peak is lower at MU than elsewhere?
