NEW safety proposal: All roads in the U.S. will now have strictly enforced 20 mph speed limit, enforced by computer surveillance that govt agents will remotely monitor and with the ability to remotely kill your engine if you exceed this speed limit. Also, all cars will be equipped with ignition interlock devices and will disallow all driving with even a trace of alcohol on the person's breath.
This is aimed at addressing the over 30,000 people that die on U.S. govt roads each year.
