that this is really about saving lives. I ask this with all sincerity. Not a gotcha. What number of lives is sufficient to "save" before we open back up? And does this mean if we can save 30,000 lives next flu season, we should shut down and do so? And if not, why?
I am not callous about life. But, it is not the government's job (IMO) to stop life in this way to "save" us from living. I get that we feared our hospitals would be bursting and could not handle the sick masses. Thankfully that did not happen. So back to my question. What number of lives saved is "worth it" to force businesses to close?
