and participate in that are known to potentially cause cancer? What about fast food and its ties to obesity/heart disease? Should we shut down all McDonalds?

I guess I'm struggling with the same thing you are. It sucks but people die from all kinds of things. No doubt this virus is pretty nasty but why does it seem like deaths from it have more weight than other reasons people die? A lot of people die from complications resulting from obesity, but if anything, obesity is accepted and celebrated in this country now.
