many others, the non-con schedule alone will keep people away unless/until they string together a number of double-digit win seasons. I was looking at the future schedules the other day, and if folks don't like the current slate they're going to do nothing but increase their whining in the future.
Other than the KState series and Colorado way down the road, it's rather uninspiring even by average schedule standards across college football. I think even the Illinois series will get old for many. I noticed a couple of seasons with two non-con road games, including roadies against the likes of Middle TN St. Again, it won't stop me from cheering them on, but I don't see it moving the attendance needle with folks in mid-MO, let alone the east and west sides.
