so long that it will take years of consistency to repair the situation.
Not years of greatness, but consistency.
The number of years with a Wyoming loss, or a Kentucky meltdown from last year, so dramatically outnumber the years that don’t have one of those games that it wears on people.
We have had some very good seasons in the last 10 years, but it has not been the method to stabilize the fanbase when you add in the extremely bad years, or the WTH games. Some people say that’s no excuse, because everybody has what the hell games. And it is true, everybody does, but Mizzou has a lot more of them than the other programs that we desire to be competing with.
Imagine over the next 10 years that we go 8-4 every single season.
We lose to Georgia, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Auburn every single time, but we also never lose to Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Ole Miss, or nonP5 noncon.
A decade of that will produce a more stable and rational fanbase than what we have done over the last 10, 20, 30, 40 years
