The assumption may be backed by anecdotal evidence, but it's still an assumption that Punter would have come here, that Jones wouldn't have been dismissed, that Rector ever would stayed and even if he had, that he would have developed into a player and CB, well.....and Danuel House is no different than me saying that he would have gotten any other recruit that we offered, but who never signed.
The real crux of the question is whether CM is a better in game coach, motivator, strategist, whatever role you want to assign him and would he have won more games. There's absolutely no way to know. It didn't happen.
