What makes anybody think that Brad Underwood is a good major college recruiter, and therefore good enough to thrive at a top level in a P6 conference? He was at Stephen F. Austin only three years, a minor school, and not even there long enough to build his own program. He was at Okie Lite for one year, and his one class of recruits there was far from stellar. Now he comes in to Illinois and their great recruiting class has just about completely fallen apart.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's a solid game coach, maybe better than Martin-we'll see, but if I'm an Illini fan I might already be starting to doubt the hire.
