and there’s a lot of information I don’t have.
Hindsight is 20/20 and second-guessing the US/EU position is easier now. It was an intractable situation. I think the hope was that standing up to a bully was the only way to get him to stop. That hasn’t happened yet.
But if the answer is not “let Putin take what he wants”, then why would the answer be different now?
