Underground, named after the Dylan line "don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows" maintained a policy that they would only set off explosives in buildings with no one in them. The only folks who died from that org were a few who died while constructing bombs. And yes dropping out of a system that created our war machine and Nixon and wholesale bombing of Cambodians and the Vietnamese. We had a big argument at our family table one night who had served in army intel during the overthrow of Prague arguing with my folks about Lt Callie (sp?) and his murdering innocents in a Vietnamese village. Tim Leary seemed into it for himself, but his associate, the great Richard Alpert, become Baba Ramdass and a leader in alternative spirituality. I am headed out to work - but having lived through those times am open to such discussions anytime.
