I agree for the Most part Trump is not a States Rights guy, most people are not unless it fits how they want things to work...at that moment.
Even in my case I'm a states Rights guy on a lot of things but not all. Take 2A that's part of the Frame work of the Constitution, Same with Slavery... Freedom of speech etc. States cannot just make up their own rules on these things.
DEI is illegal under the 1964 Civil rights act and that is Federal law not constitutionally enshrined but close..... you can't overlook, demote or remove qualified applicants to elevate people based on race, gender or delusion of your actual gender and sexual orientation.
And make no mistake DEI is used to discriminate against certain groups this is not debatable.
I'd say you need a better example.... I will give you one that Supports Trumps State rights stance... Abortion. He washed his hands of it and is letting the SC decision be the last word.
He like most is flawed and will be States Rights if it suits his beliefs on a certain subject and he will be on the other side of the coin if it fits his beliefs on another.
