were being paid under the table. Mizzou wasn't doing much of that, but the gap wasn't insurmountable. Mizzou was able to compete every once in a while by winning the East and going to the SEC Championship game.
With an uncapped NIL you can kiss those days goodbye. The gap between what Bama, LSU, UGA, etc...will bring to the NIL table and what a school like Mizzou or k-State or Iowa State is MASSIVE.
It doesn't seem like a big deal currently because it just started, but give it a few more years and it will become apparent that a school like Mizzou has no chance.
When fan bases realize they have no chance to win again they will stop spending the money and showing up to games.
I've already switched my funds from Mizzou to the Chiefs. If I am going to spend money on a pro sports team it will be one that has a salary cap in place with a chance to win. Not this crap.
