Mizzou has never been elite in any sport. Very good for a stretch but nobody speaks of MU as being elite in anything. Even wrestling will have to win multiple natty’s before they could join the conversation. But if they aren’t going to try then get the hell out of the SEC. And major college sports for that matter.
More importantly, Pingeton’s program has a bad reputation in recruiting. And that’s among Mizzou friendly individuals. The word lazy and a suspect eye for talent have been heard.
The next coach may stink too but MU is either trying or not. If not, they don’t deserve a dime of fan money let alone interest. She’s had her chance. More of chance than 99% of coaches would get at this level.
