In a historical context bottom line , number of wins, has been a way to evaluate programs and coaches. I think that is somewhat less so with the extensive rating systems of schedules and teams strengths.
I see the logic of you argument questioning if changing coaches , to get back to the “ good old days pre Pingeton “ is the move.
But , and the AD certainly knows this now, the current staff is not able to compete in the SEC. So there will be a change , the timing can only be about money. The AD cant possibly be still evaluating the present coaches , she knows .
Last night , there can’t be all that many top 100 teams that would not have smoked MU. It’s now that bad.
Both lead guards are no where near SEC quality , should not be getting minutes .
I’ll exclude Gilbert , but she is strictly a 15 minute a game player, at best.
There are athletic players on dozens of teams, lightly recruited , many not in power conferences , that Pingeton could have recruited that would be far better than the players she signed .
If this staff comes back next year will be it’s last, and it might be historically bad.
They’ll be a pall over the program.
