Lots of talk how we should fire one coach and hire a new coach. Posters talk of Mizzou needs to be one of the top programs in the SEC as if we have a history of success. Many tout us being worse than past years, but I just do not see how we were a better team for the 20 years prior to Pingeton's arrival. I'm not going to say if they should fire her or not. However, I will say I am not sure what people are basing many of their facts that Mizzou's program is worse than it has been in the past. In Joann Rutherford's last eight seasons we were 108-116 with one season having more than 16 wins and four seasons under .500. In 12 years under Cindy Stein we only topped .500 six times and she ended her tenure with a 186-179 record. Pingeton has a 222-175 record in her 13 years. She has had four sub-.500 season. In the 20 years prior to Pingeton we only had four years when we had more than 17 wins in a season. Pingeton has had nine seasons with more than 17 wins. I, like everyone else, would like for Mizzou to be better and regularily find themselves in the top 25, but judging from the past 33 years it is not a task accopmplished just by changing coaches.
