is that humans, in their infancy, can't sustain life without assistance. So I have a right to life, and others have a duty not to infringe on my right to life, but I can't enjoy that right unless someone intervenes and is viewed to have a duty to protect me (parent) or charity to do so (where parents don't).
I understand the distinction that you're making, kmaw, but is there a "right" to life or is there just the existence of life factually?
