would consider Alex Smith a backup QB. Backups aren't coveted as a starter for (3) different franchises, who trade draft capital to get him. SF clearly fvcked up thinking Kapearnick was the future. KC drafted potentially the greatest QB of all time and Washington desperately wanted him. And he'd probably still be playing if it wasn't for a catastrophic injury and ultimately age.
