You don't get solid, experienced, franchise level QBs in this league for a 2nd round pick. You also don't get #1 overall picks for that cheap either, if they've even remotely lived up to their draft position.

Alex Smith didn't go to a single Pro Bowl with the Niners. He lost his starting job to Colin Kaepernick.
