Completely logical.
All Alden had to do was give some oversight in reloading the staff after year one instead of allowing Quin to hire sleazy recruiters that had no ability to help him on the court. In John Hammond had been replaced with a similar experienced assistant, the entire trajectory of Quin’s career & Mizzou hoops is probably very different.
That is Quin’s mistake. But it is also mismanagement by Alden to allow him to make that mistake but then be an overbearing micromanager that demanded to make approval of all decisions later on. A good manager does the exact opposite. Help early, give freedom later.
