When he first took the job at Mo State and I was running a scouting service, he helped me out a ton and never asked for anything. He met me in person, introduced me his then assistant coach Jon Harris. We talked, he took the time. He’s very approachable, very kind and will bend over backwards for people. I was a no name. He also does a lot of work with fellow cancer survivors. He does stuff with JJK in East St. Louis, no cameras, no fan fare. When I moved in to small college coaching, he took my call and gave me great advice. He treats the school janitor the same as the Chancellor and President. Opposing coaches let him come in the locker room after games. If you don’t see it, it’s because you don’t want to. 20 years in the game, no character blemishes.
