normally in the context of why his recruiting is so poor compared to the rest of the SEC.
But what is that claim actually based upon?.. I've never seen anyone explain (with any specificity) what makes him such a great guy. To me, it seems like nothing more than excuses for his lackluster recruiting. Basically...
"It's not Cuonzo's fault, he's just too virtuous to recruit at an SEC level." (but not too virtuous to cash those 7-figure SEC-level checks)
Can anyone provide *specific* examples of why they think CM is such an outstanding person?.. For example, does he give a substantial percentage of his $3 million salary to the causes he tweets about?
And please don't reply with generic cliches. For example, "he's highly respected" is just an opinion. "He talks about the importance of education and life after basketball" is something nearly all coaches do. "He talks about social issues" is also something most coaches do, and in his case the politics are self-serving as a person of color.
So please provide *specific* details of actual personal sacrifices he's made to substantiate this TB narrative that he's a such a great guy — so great in fact that his poor recruiting is not only understandable, but acceptable.
