problems over any other 'trait'.

If we're talking about contribution, service, innovation and ultimately value creation, 'diversity' is a pointless goal.

In fact, in the pursuit of operational excellence, 'diversity' can definitely be a killer vs. adherence to proven methodologies.

So no, this whimsical idea that 'folks from different backgrounds' bring some sort of valuable, unique perspective is fantasy.

Most of this world has been conquered and constructed by a handful of truly gifted and great individuals, diversity is relatively unimportant in the overall scheme of things...
