Well I thought I gave my opinion. No, I don’t equate texting with driving drunk. Texting is stupid and can be dangerous but I still have my reflexes, sight, clear head. I would not be in favor of basing laws strictly on statistics, those are too easily manipulated. Common sense goes a long way here. Some people are better drivers than others I.e. can drive faster more safely, eat and yes text more safely than others
No one can drive safely drunk, anymore than I can shoot my rifle into crowded stands safely.
