We have laws against someone if they do harm someone by driving drunk. So why would we have laws against an act if it doesn't cause harm?
And I feel like this needs to be reiterated because you don't understand or purposely are not listening, but just because you don't think drinking and driving should be a crime, does not mean you're ok with drinking and driving.
There are many things that people can do while driving that could cause serious harm to other but are not illegal. Driving while eating, driving and putting on your makeup, driving and taking your eyes off the road to change the radio station, etc etc etc. Do you think those things should be against the law?
