Also heard a report this morning that Brooks was either on probation or parole from a prior felony. If accurate, he was likely fearful of being found in violation of the terms and being returned to prison. Also read that in 2019 only nine unarmed AAs were shot and killed by police. That seems like an unusually small number of incidents given the frenzy unleashed from Floyd's and Brooks' deaths.
