It was said the playoff would destroy the bowl system, and it has. TV Ratings are non-existent outside of the two teams playing. And attendance has dropped to levels that you have to wonder how long the bowls will be financially practical.

The other reasons for the playoff (besides $$$) was that it would eliminate controversy (that has worked out REAL well) and offer more teams a real chance to play for national championship. Instead, we just get the same teams in the playoff every year, and it's getting boring. Surprise, surprise. Anybody with half a brain could have seen that coming.

And how much more $$$ has it really brought in? I'm not seeing it over the old bowl system and BCS. It's literally one additional game.

And expanding the number of teams will just make it worse and solve nothing.
