that Mark got one and Dru did not. Putting the players abilities and our needs aside, Dru's case is dramatically more obvious than Mark's. When a school fires their coach, that school's "blessing" should no longer hold weight in the NCAA's decision. The school's blessing should only matter when there is no real other case for granting the waiver.
I'm not really upset because I think we should be reducing the number of transfers, not increasing them. But the inconsistency of the NCAA always drives people nuts.
