All of the TV contracts are up, and the AD's of the Power Conferences come together to come up with a solution that will help the sport thrive. A vote was made to disband current conference affiliation to create regional divisions, split revenue, and employ a full football playoff to rejuvenate fan bases across the country. Notre Dame reluctantly decided to join in the new format, knowing they would be left out.
There are 9 divisions with 9 teams, meaning 8 conference games per year. Each team is required to play at least 2 non conference divisional teams, can play 1 non divisional team, and 1 FCS.

The playoff format is 14 teams made up of the 9 division winners, and 5 at large teams from the divisions. A committee will be created to pick the 5 at large teams, as well as seeding the 14 teams. The higher seeded team will host the game until the Semifinals. Week 1 will take place during the current conference championship week.
In my playoff format, assume that the higher seeded team plays on. No team will play 3 weeks in a row, higher seeded teams (especially top 2) receive favorable match ups with bye weeks. The most a team will play is 15, the same as today, along with the same time period as today.

Bowl games will still be available for ALL (division or non division) teams, but must be .500. Bowls will be played Week 4 and Week 6 between playoff bye weeks. If a team loses before the Semifinals, they are allowed to play in a Week 6 Bowl game.
Playoff Revenue is kept by the schools participating.
