evidence that aspartame causes CVD in humans. In fact, the Cell paper even mentions that the ApoE knockout mice they used display perturbed lipid metabolism and inflammation. When that is combined with their high fat, high cholesterol diet, the clinical significance of the study is greatly diminished.
