Information. You said the police should NOT have to stand down if they came upon intelligence of a planned attack on a school for instance. Why should police be able to act on intelligence that was the interception of communication between American citizens? Isn't that freedom of speech?
And your pithy if petulant answer of yes, to whether military or law-enforcement should use intelligence seems to run counter to your advocacy for free speech. Isn't intelligence the interception of speech? So you're going to deprive them of the rights to private communications and then prevent them from acting on their plans. That sounds positively tyrannical. Can you explain, and warning, it might take more than one word.
Remember, there is no middle ground.
And I certainly appreciate the critique/lecture on my writing style from someone who offers one word answers that are out of context and with no supporting facts or information.
