observation. Mizzou’s 6-12 guys would only get blowout minutes for Illinois.

I’ll backtrack a bit by saying that guys like Carter, Honor and Bates could play for Illinois because they would have to do so much less on a more talented roster. With Shannon and Hawkins, they could fall back into the complementary roles they are better suited for rather than trying to squeeze frontline production from them like talent-thin Mizzou is doing.
