Gates was easier to swallow. He objectively had a better resume and was on the radar of other majors.

The fact he is from Kirkwood feels about as important as Bieser coaching Vianney.

No other SEC school would hire this guy for their baseball job. His resume is one division title in a bad baseball league and going 10-14 in the AAC with a 1 yr sample size. I listened to one video interview. He seems a tad more exciting than Bieser but he’s no Drinkwitz orator either.

I just can’t see anything to excite me. I guess if he is the dude, he can prove my apprehension wrong.
