blaming the inefficient and poorly maintained grid has nothing to do with the source of the power that goes into that grid.

and a moderate amount of planning can determine when power needs to be produced from nuclear / coal / gas / hydro plants and when it doesn't. firing coal plants at max capacity all day every day just because you're not smart enough to figure out when you need or don't need the energy is just dumb.
