I’m not against NIL. But the sport/leagues would be more compelling if they were organized around similar willingness to pay/payroll. Since that can’t be determined very well since it is technically outside the control of the team, I think a system of promotion and relegation would be a better way of determining divisions/leagues.

Yes, that won’t happen so there are going to be big winners and losers. I’m not counting on Mizzou to be a winner in a league it is likely to be bottom tier in NIL spending and overall spending on athletics.
