If you think MU is a fit for the world of the SEC (and include Okie and TX) then we are at an impasse because our thinking cannot align. My whole manifesto about the State of Mizzou hinges on the misreading by Mizzou of the coming professionalization of college sports and it's poor fit in joining a league that embodies it the most . . . and translating that into meaningful athletic accomplishment in that world.
I admit I could be misreading the future but I've been following Mizzou for 40 plus years and it has never shown an inclination and/or ability to play with the tier one schools for very long. So since I think that, I would just as soon be in one of the other leagues that MU might actually have a slightly better chance to win more often than lose. I think there are going to be a lot of schools soul searching about what they are doing. And they are the poors in which MU is one of them. Especially in the SEC.
