It's a tough gig because the recruit base (or lack thereof) is better suited for other leagues and MU can't/won't raise funds at the same rate as most in the SEC. Hell, MU let itself go a decade plus as a big loser because its facilities were some of the worst in the Big 8. It's good MU is spending on football facilities but now they are being told to raise even more money or be left behind for NIL.
This isn't going well or will it end well for Mizzou. A small demo school in the midwest with way more in common with Illinois and Indiana than about 10 to 12 SEC schools it has to compete with.
And Pinkel was great for MU but he needed a lot of help like NUB and CU's runs coming to an end. And the SEC going through a period of underachievement. He didn't have to beat anybody running on all cylinders. Anytime he did play such a school, he largely got consumed in a route.
