On a serious note, I'm always dubious when somebody gets huge tax dollars for a business that doesn't even exist yet. It would be one thing if they existed before and bootstrapped up from doing a little to a lot and ran out of production room. That isn't the case here. The head guy only worked for other people running parts of businesses and he likely couldn't find anybody who would do this in Nashville where he has connections and where a big part of the music business is already based. Also, set production for tours and other projects are often farmed out on a bid basis, meaning lower margins. It's a commodity.
My guess, 5 years after opening, this venture will fold due to lack of business revenue and the real estate will be sold below cost to a company that will redevelop it. Meanwhile, taxpayers will be left holding the bag to cover the bond carrying-costs for an ill-conceived project.
