I didn't see his teams at Cal

His 'good' team at Tennessee was rather poorly coached and considerably underutilized the resources on that roster. It was very comparable to our 2001-02 team that made the Elite Eight as a low seed but left fans incredibly frustrated with the regular season results and inconsistency. Tennessee was rather rightly fed up with him heading into that play in game to the NCAA tourney.

I would not say he has shown he can coach at MU. He did pretty well his first season with an inadequate roster, although he had some rather glaring issues that caused us to lose a number of rather winnable games. Then his next three seasons I would say have been somewhere between poor to terrible coaching at MU.
