To be so bl8nd. COO of the Vikings runs the team. All the business parts of the team. The GM only runs the player side. In a conference commissioner, you want the guy running the business affairs of a sports team, not an ex coach or the guy signing players. I’m guessing you’ve never run an organization or built a business. You just let your racism determine your blindness to candidates from your cubicle.

What do Mike Slive, Jim Delany and Kevin Warren have in common? All were attorneys with executive experience in sports before they got their big commissioner’s job. Not coaching. Obviously the Big 10 saw it my way. Nobody who matters sees it your way.
