Here's my problem with "scientists" in this case

Back in March when this all started and there wasn't enough data for the scientists to know anything, every one of them was still out there spouting off their beliefs about how this was spread and everything else about it. They should have been saying, "We don't know, but this is what we think...." But that didn't happen. They went out and said we know..... If you don't know, you don't know. That's an acceptable answer.
But when you say you know this is how something works, you can't come back later and say, "well now we have more data so this is how it works." You might be able to get away with that once. But it's been 4-5 times now. You lose your credibility at some point. That needs to be addressed by the scientific community at some point. They can't just keep saying they know how stuff works when they really don't know.
