"And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come"(Matthew 12:32, emphasis added).
The only sin that is not forgiven is rejecting the Holy Spirit as that removes the only bridge to forgiveness. You cannot reject the Holy Spirit and remain a child of God. You can steal and remain a child of God. You can lust and remain a child of God. You can kill and remain a child of God. It's not that those are not serious sins. It's simply that through faith you have access to the atoning sacrifice of Christ to forgive those sins.
