a policeman to see what he experienced.

One time they were called to an accident scene. It was a one car accident where the car veered off the road and slammed into a tree.

They pulled the man out of the car. He was laying on his back, with blood his face, moaning and groaning in pain. He was also drunk.

The policeman tried to comfort him, telling him they were there with him and that he would be ok. Then, to add a little humor to the situation he asked, "Now why did you go and run into that tree?".

The man replied, "I don't believe in trees!"
